Using EBL at the State Library of Victoria
EBL, or Electronic Book Library, is a collection of ebooks that you can read online or download to your own device to read later. You can connect to EBL from an individual title in the State Library catalogue or from the link on our eresources menus.
If you are connecting from home you need to log in with your valid SLV barcode and last name. If you don't have a library card, you may be interested in joining the Library.
You can browse a book online for 10 minutes. You can then choose to keep reading and automatically create a one-day loan. You can also download the book to your own computer/device to read offline for 7 days.
The entire EBL catalogue has over 400,000 titles but we have purchased approximately 600 books within our collecting range.
