The state budget is the NSW Government’s main financial, economic and policy report. It provides a comprehensive update on the fiscal and economic outlook of New South Wales.
For recent budgets, the Budget itself is made up of four individual budget papers: Budget Statement (Budget Paper Number 1); Agency Financial Statements (Budget Paper Number 2); Infrastructure Statement (Budget Paper Number 3); Appropriation Bills (Budget Paper Number 4), as well as the Treasurer’s Budget Speech.
To understand more about the budget papers, the budget process and key terminology, refer to the 'Overview of the NSW Budget process' on the NSW Treasury website.
