For readers with low vision, the Library has available the below handheld magnifying tools:
These tools make printed text larger and easier to see. There is also a book rest available to hold a book upright while you use a magnifying device.
Magnifying aids can help you read materials more easily, such as books and magazines. This handheld illuminated magnifier features bright light, and different levels of magnification and colour temperatures to choose from.
If you require any handheld magnifiers please let staff know, so they can provide them to you.
The Library has a range of devices available to assist your reading.
The desktop video magnifier electronically zooms in on physical books and documents. This device has a viewing plate where materials can be placed and then magnified, making it easier to read materials.
The ClearView+ is another type of video magnifier for reading or viewing images.
