Companies in Australia

Find current and historical information about Victorian and other Australian companies.

Finding information on an industry

In searching for information about a company, it could be that it conducts its business within a specialised industry or across a number of industries that you are interested to know more about. A general search online may satisfy your curiosity, but State Library Victoria subscribes to a set of databases that provide an insight into the historic, current and future outlook on a range of Australian industries.

A freely available, quality resource for statistical reports and analysis of significant industries is the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

More broadly, conduct a search in our catalogue on the name of an industry, alongside the term ‘industry’ to see the extent of our holdings.
