Finding information on an industry

In searching for information about a company, it could be that it conducts its business within a specialised industry or across a number of industries that you are interested to know more about. A general search online may satisfy your curiosity, but State Library Victoria subscribes to a set of databases that provide an insight into the historic, current and future outlook on a range of Australian industries.

IBISWorld Australia Industry Reports (ANZSIC)
Covering over 500 industries, including most sectors in the Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification (ANZSIC) scheme. Each report consists of 30 to 40 pages of key statistics and analysis on market characteristics, operating conditions, current and historical performance, forecasting and major industry participants.
