Find current and historical information about Victorian and other Australian companies.
Newspapers can be a valuable source when searching for information about a company. Major daily newspapers will have Business sections or lift-outs covering stock market updates for public companies. These will also include reports on mergers and acquisitions and changes in executive leadership, for example.
A company or people within a company may also be reported in the daily news because it has general interest, for example a major incident such as a building fire, a personal profile, or consumer update.
Equally valuable, newspaper advertisements can help to trace a company or business’ location at a point in time, even a single mention of a name in an article may provide a clue on where to look next.
