Find out about the resources available for children at the Library and online

Searching the catalogue

Searching for items available on the shelves in the Pauline Gandel Children's Quarter is easy.

Step 1 

  • Navigate your way to the catalogue by visiting www.slv.vic.gov.au
  • Click on 'Catalogue' in the top bar of the page

 

Step 2 

  • Click on 'Advanced Search' to the right of the Search box
  • Use the drop-down box to change the filter 'Any field' to 'Holdings information'

Step 3 

  •  Enter the term 'CQ' (this stands for Children's Quarter') in the Search box
  •  In the Search box below this, leave the filter as 'Any field', and enter a subject or keyword in the box. If you don't know quite what you are looking for and just want to see everything in the Children's Browsing Collection, leave this second box empty 
  •  Click on 'Search'
