Guide to Australian manufacturing standards, accounting standards, food code, building code and design rules
The Australian Design Rules (ADRs) are national standards for vehicle safety, anti-theft and emissions.
The standards apply to vehicles newly manufactured in Australia or imported as new or second hand vehicles, and supplied to the Australian market.
ADRs set out design standards for vehicle safety and emissions.
ADRs use United Nations vehicle categories and are "harmonised considerably with international standards” (ADR).
Australian Design Rules are published online by the Australian Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government.
