A guide to accessing South Australian Government publications
This chamber came into existence in 1857 in South Australia. Hansard debates for the House of Assembly are now available online stretching back to 13 July 1971 (Fortieth Parliament, Second Session). See the General Hansard Information page on the Parliament of South Australia's website for more information.

Debates of the 2 chambers were published as one title, first titled Epitome of the debates in the Houses of Legislature, then titled Debates in the Houses of Legislature. No Hansard was produced for 1863 and 1864 due to an industrial dispute. Check newspaper reports in Trove for coverage of debates for these couple of years.
