This continued the industrial section of the South Australian government gazette. Initially titled the South Australian Government Gazette (Industrial). Ceased publication in 1991. Printed holdings are as follows:
A confidential publication for police personnel. Due to embargoes on access to confidential information, members of the public are unable to acces South Australian Police Gazettes published in the last 60 years.
The information in police gazettes varies from year to year but mainly contains information relating to the police force such as promotions, demotions, discharges, deaths and resignations.
It also contains information about break-ins, robberies, arson, murder, warrants issued, deserters, lost and found, missing friends etc. Notices from police gazettes from other states are also often included.
First published on 21 April, 1849, the gazette continues to be published every Thursday.
Today the Government Gazette consists of official government notices, regulations passed under various Acts of Parliament and District Council notices.
There are two other gazettes in South Australia, the South Australian industrial gazette (ceased publication 1991) and the South Australian police gazette.
